The project, in addition to playing with perspectives lightens a heavy structure, creating a choreography of views and relationships within a defined masterplan, suspending trees and open spaces. The idea originates from a simple design gesture on the facades, whose diagonal movement generates new viewpoints and provides apartments with terraces that guarantee both privacy and openness. Simultaneously, the thinning of the parapets as they ascend gives the building a gradual lightness. In this way, the structure becomes more urban, enclosed, and private on the lower floors, ensuring the residents’ intimacy, while almost dissolving into the sky at higher levels.
Through the design of open spaces, the traversability of the central square, the interplay of volumes, and the presence of double-height areas, the lot can become a landmark for the neighborhood. It is a strongly urban space, which not only acts as a distant landmark for Viale Pasolini but also becomes a true “place.”
The project is divided into distinct building volumes unified by a common podium. This podium is not merely a green plaza or parking space but a veritable platform with a complex functional program, fostering interaction with the city. Thanks to the podium, the building maintains a constant connection to its surroundings, making its ground interface highly permeable to the neighborhood. At times, one encounters commercial spaces and concierge areas; at others, staircases and ramps leading to the elevated plaza, or co-working spaces and shared condominium amenities.
