The project is thus deeply connected to the territory. The boundary between architecture and landscape becomes imperceptible, and the internal paths follow the slope of the lot, smoothly adhering to the landscape. In this way, the residence becomes part of the city and its context, not an alien element or an heterotopia. The residence transforms into a true place, embedded within a complex context. Architecture serves as the first step of a project for acceptance and dialogue within a community.
The system of ramps and vertical connections follows the inclines of the landscape, making every space accessible to everyone, not through elevators, but via a fluid and natural movement, akin to what one experiences in other parts of the city. As with the exterior of the residence, the connecting and movement spaces become areas for relationships, exchange, and meetings. The project evolves into a continuous dialogue between privacy and public life, where the reference point between the two becomes the open space and the landscape. Nature, the design of natural elements, and views of the mountains become the contact point with the outside and the starting point from which the project’s morphology arises.
The interior spaces have been designed to ensure accessibility for all types of users, removing architectural barriers and facilitating both visual and physical circulation between environments. The presence of ramps and constant contact with the external environment reduce the need to use elevators, allowing for a smooth transition between various levels and making the living spaces accessible and easy to navigate.
Moreover, the agora becomes the quintessential flexible space. It can be used multifunctionally for a wide variety of events, serving as the contact point between the residence and the city. It can be utilized daily by residents as a space to meet families or for special events that mark the public and social life of the community and its surroundings.
